We have just finished the first week of March and I’m still ending February in my brain!
Purim is almost here.
Where has the time gone off to anyway?
So let’s say goodbye to February and get this month of March started off right on track.
GOODBYE FEBRUARY
First; let’s just review a few sweet memories of the month that just passed us by.
Isn’t February the sweetest time?
I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. The February blogs filled up on articles about the month of love.
COME AS A CHILD
Speaking of love; the love of God prevailed in all of our bible studies. We enjoyed some amazing bible study lessons in February. The walk through Numbers continues and there has not been one dull moment.
During February we studied the symbolism of the ashes of the Red Heifer. Then we said goodbye to Miriam and Aaron. We learned how the faithful keep moving forward no matter what; and we looked at a story about a well and a song. If you missed any of those lessons; you can catch them here: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/purification-with-water-from-the-ashes-of-the-red-heifer/ https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/saying-goodbye-to-miriam-and-aaron/https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/the-faithful-move-forward/
AN APPLE A DAY
In this healthy section of the blog we looked at more information on heart health. What could be more appropriate for February?
There was also another health-related article that explains how love is a very healthy emotion.
If you missed these; you can find them at these links: https://theinseasonlifestyle.https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/love-is-a-very-healthy-emotion/hearts/https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/taking-care-of-our-hearts/
There will be more articles relating to our bodies as God’s temple. These are coming in the future; with a few of them possibly coming forth in March. Stay focused on where we left off last and we will continue from there as soon as time allows.
MONDAY NIGHT MENUS
Food was definitely on our mind in February. We gave you a few ideas about how to cook up a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. Also; we posted a great recipe to make on President’s Day.
You can find both of those sets of recipes in these links: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/presidents-day-pie/https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/cooking-together-for-valentines-day/
PIECES OF THE PUZZLE
I know most of you were expecting continued articles on the series that we started on social justice; but those will resume in March.
We devoted our February space to an article about the real meaning of Valentine’s Day. You can catch it here: WHAT IS THE REAL MEANING BEHIND VALENTINE’S DAY?
THE HOUSE DOCTOR
In February we let you have a glimpse of what it is like to live in a February House. LIVING IN A FEBRUARY HOUSE – THE HOUSE DOCTOR
Also; the cozy mountain cottage look that we gave you in January carried over well in the month of February for Valentine’s occasions with all of it’s red and coziness. It is going to be tough to let this go in March because it has been so very comfortable and we have enjoyed all of those winter snuggles by the fire.
We brought you our Valentine Tree: http://THE VALENTINE TREE, and a new crafty project to create called the “Love IS Tree: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/the-love-is-tree/.
If you were looking for our Redbird Tree just click back in the archives to February 2018 and you will find it there. It is very appropriate for the month too.
So many trees; so little time!
OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO
February held one romantic destination that isn’t too crowded or too hard to travel to. It is just a bird’s flight away.
We hope you liked our favorite suggestion for a romantic Valentine’s get-a-way. You can review that article here: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/weekend-get-away-gorhams-bluff/

FEBRUARY PRODUCTS
We gave you a chance to order so many seasonal products in February. As a side-note, we even had a special article on Valentine’s Gifts. Then we gave you some great products for your February home use. We produced our usual The IN SEASON Community Store for February.
Off and on we also display references to products at the bottom of some of our articles. We hope these are helpful.
If you are like us you have developed the habit of ordering a year in advance and having it all ready when the time comes. For this reason (if you have NOT done this yet) we have also included many Purim and Passover and spring items with our February store.
Here are all of our February links in one place for that type of inventory; if you want to live more organized in the future: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/the-in-season-community-store-for-february-2020/https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/february-products-for-the-home/
HELLO MARCH
March blew in to our part of the country with tons and tons of cold winter rain.
Our days to begin this month have been pretty dark and dreary and gray; but we can made the most of them by waiting on better weather while reading our March articles.
Today as I post this Newsletter, the sun is shinning and in spite of the fact that it is still cold; I think March might just turn out to be a fantastic month in spite of the rain.
COME AS A CHILD
Our journey with the Israelites will continue as we keep walking through the book of Numbers together. We are SO CLOSE to crossing over to The Promised Land! Don’t miss a Thursday’s post.
If you wish to be on our mailing list for just these bible study lessons, send us a note stating that along with your e-mail address to wordcastlepublications@gmail.com. Be sure to tell us your first name and we will add you to the review mailing. It usually goes out on Fridays after the Thursday COME AS A CHLD BIBLE STUDY post has displayed for the week.
PIECES OF THE PUZZLE
March continues the series that we started on the facts about social justice. Most of the month will be dedicated to articles that explain the history of how “social justice” came to be the current system we are seeing today.
We are also publishing several articles that explain why we think Christians need to celebrate Purim as well as the Jews. Have you thought about that?
AN APPLE A DAY
We haven’t forgotten our efforts to stay health-focused for this year. The articles about our bodies as God’s temples will continue. We will have at least one of these in the month of March to share; maybe even two.
THE HOUSE DOCTOR
I’ve been into robin’s egg blue for this coming-of-spring time. You might love the pretty and colorful new decor we came up with for March. It can carry us through April and May too, with just a few little tweaks here and there for Passover and all the patriotic parts of May.
Be looking for that article and the pics of what we found to usher in the new season of Spring. We will do our best to give you product references on our pages too.
We also have some older articles that show you what we have used in the past to decorate the house for Purim and St. Patrick’s Day. Keep watching for those.
It is fun having such great memories of “home” to share with our readers. We hope it sparks ideas for you to reach out to your community and share the love too.
PRODUCTS
The IN SEASON Community Store for March 2020 has already been posted. If you missed it – the link follows here: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/the-in-season-community-store-for-march-2020/ There are lots of seasonal and spring decor items. You may wish to review it several times throughout the month; as we keep finding new items to add.
SEASONS
March brings us Purim, St. Patrick’s Day and the first day of Spring. We have articles lined up that correlate to all of these.
You might have already caught a glimpse at our Purim articles. We have quite a collection of those now. Purim is so much fun! We hope it is a part of your family time this year.
Also; we hope you have the full understanding of St. Patrick’s Day and not just the superstitious stories of the world. St. Patrick was a real person who was all about teaching the gospel, and it is a story worth remembering and telling each year.
Spring is so lovely and refreshing. We hope to have a few spring-related articles with suggestions on how to celebrate with your family.
Also – we may get a jump on some seasonal articles for Unleavened- Bread, First-Fruits and Passover. These come so early in April that a few may be presented in March articles too. These are the most holy of times and we cannot leave anything out and still have the whole story.
PEN ART
We do have a PEN ART story for you this month – one about Esther and The King. We thought it would be most appropriate given the fact that this is the month of Purim.
There MAY be a story about St. Patrick too – but no promises. Time is slipping by so fast – so if we miss it be sure to check out the books we referred to in our product links.
OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO
If we get time we will post our articles about some more obscure beaches we have visited; beaches that would be more family friendly for spring break.
Be looking for those.
Whether you travel or stay home; we hope your spring break is loaded with fun, love and laughter. Enjoy those moments with your children; they never come again and are as precious as gems.
So you can see how busy we will be in March!
Thank you for including us in your moments this Spring. Our readers are most precious to us.
God bless you every one!
