Are you looking for some articles on The Feast of Weeks? We have a whole collection here for you. You can click into one link at a time and read them like a magazine. Read them one-at-a-time if you like. Come back to read more later. We’ve tried to cover this seasonal topic extensively. Each year we add more to last year’s collection of articles.
As you may have noticed, The IN SEASON Lifestyle blog wants to become a magazine when it grows up. The “Everything” articles we often publish from season-to-season contain articles we would put into this season’s magazine, if we were officially a magazine publication.
May is a busy month. It is full of seasonal things to celebrate. Because of that fact we have arranged four seperate “Everything” collections or publications for this month. These are broken down between, Everything Mother’s Day, Everything About Counting The Omer, Everything Memorial Day, and Everything Pentecost. We hope you are loving our “magazine-type” posts for every season and/or Holy Day or Holiday. It is becoming an annual tradition for us to publish certain subjects in this way. This article contains a collection of links for all of our articles on Pentecost.
SUMMARIZING OUR “EVERYTHING PENTECOST” ARTICLES
Here is what you need to know as you read through this collection of articles pertaining to the subject of Pentecost.
ABOUT THE DATES
The dates are from PAST articles, so understand they will not be the latest or most accurate dates for this year’s harvest celebration. You will need to supply the appropriate dates on your own and as you understand them. Our dates will be from articles collected from many years in the past. As you know, the dates change for each new year’s season according to the lunar/solar counts. We start at Passover, which changes dates almost every year too, and count 50 days until Pentecost.
DATE FOR PENTECOST 2026
Pentecost for 2026, or Pentecost for the Hebraic year of 5786, begins at sunset on May 22nd and ends at sunset on May 23rd. The Hebraic dates are evening of Iyar 14 through evening of Iyar 15. Remember that Hebraic dates always begin at sunset and end at sunset 24 hours later.
Just note these dates for this year. Substitute them for the past dates on some of these publications. Otherwise, the facts of Pentecost all remain the same from year-to-year.
I will note that though the facts and traditions are the same year-after-year, God always shows us something new. Each year is refreshing and vital to the time in which it is happening.
Also, it is important to understand that this blog community approaches Pentecost from a Christian point of view. Our world-view maintains that Yeshua, Messiah has come. We believe that He is coming again soon. Our celebration of Yahweh’s Holy Days keep us current and in tune to His rhythms of time.
This festival celebrates a great gift given by Yeshua to His Bride, the Church. It is the gift of Yahweh’s Holy Spirit coming to live within us. We cannot underestimate its immense and vast importance.
PENTECOST IS THE CENTER OF THE GOSPEL
The whole gospel centers around this feast. It is a vital part of God’s calendar created from the foundation of the world. If you wish to know more about the importance of God’s lunar/solar calendar you might want to study this article: https://icejusa.org/2024/01/04/biblical-calendar/. At The IN SEASON Lifestyle we believe God’s calendar is critically important in the keeping and the numbering of the days we have been given to live on this earth. When you know and understand God’s calendar, you begin to see patterns and rhythms inside God’s great gift of time.
It is our desire to flow through time with the rhythms of God’s time which have been set in motion from the foundation of the world. These same rhythms continue to cycle in a circle specifically designed by God for our abundant living in relationship with our great Creator.
We hope you enjoy each of these articles that center around the center of God’s calendar!
