TO GOD BE THE GLORY; EVEN IN PURSUING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH
In all my writing for The IN SEASON Lifestyle my ultimate goal in every category and topic has been to keep all things I publish grounded in The Word of God. May all things be done to His glory!
I’m totally amazed at how much the scriptures speak about health and well-being and the process of keeping our minds, bodies and spirits physically fit.
The subjects regarding healthy living that are hiding inside the pages of our bibles are virtually endless.
Both the Old and New Testament scriptures are full of many interesting health-related topics.
We will be bringing some of these scriptural topics up for review as we go through our next 365 DAYS TO A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE.
In each and every step along the way we will have that same goal: to give glory to God by the things that we do in our lives.
SEEKING OUT THE HEALTHIEST PLACES ON PLANET EARTH; AND ASKING A LOT OF QUESTIONS
My “let’s get healthy” posts will start out with a little research and study on some of the healthiest places we can find on planet earth.
Have you ever wondered just what makes any particular area of the world healthier than all the others?
We will be asking questions to find out why these particular places have turned out to be so much healthier than other parts of the earth.
What makes certain people healthier than others?
What are they doing different from the rest of us?
DEVELOPING HEALTHY HABITS TOGETHER
All of these random thoughts and questions, as well as all of the research toward living a healthier lifestyle, aren’t worth a penny to you and me; unless we can begin to put them into practice in our daily lives.
I’ve mentioned previously that you need to do something consistently for at least 45 days in order to turn it into a permanent habit.
With that in mind; I decided I could write about good healthy topics for at least 365 days (a whole year.)
During the course of this time, I will be trying to put all the healthy habits I write about into practice in my own life.
In the meantime; I’ll be sharing all I learn along the way with you.
WE HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE (EXCEPT MAYBE A FEW UN-NEEDED POUNDS)
I knew if I could achieve this writing down and recording of a year’s worth of healthy habits the information alone would be well worth my time, effort and research; and I think others might also enjoy reading the results of my finds as I go.
If nothing else happens; I will slowly become a healthier person.
You might become healthier too; because I’m inviting you to join in with me!
THE ORDER OF THE JOURNEY
In the course of the next few weeks, using the fresh new blog structure I’ve formatted; I will start with post one; and we will work our way through 365 health-related topics.
Already, I can see that one year may never be enough time to hit on everything we need to talk about. We may continue even longer!
Let’s all make it our goal to try to become as healthy as my daughter and her son enjoying a sunny day of apple-picking in this photo. She was expecting at the time of this photo; but next apple-picking season she will have another little one to join in with them for their apple picking fun family tradition.
