President’s Day has arrived on our doorstep.
Should we respond to the holiday anymore?
President’s Day is a national holiday for America which is celebrated on February 20th this year (Monday.) How will you be spending that day?
Who has been your favorite president of our nation?
Since I don’t have much to say about our current President (though I do pray for God to reach him and guide him and open his eyes to the preservation of our great nation) I would rather spend this holiday remembering some of the past presidents whom I believe have helped to make America the great country that it is, or has been in the past.
Perhaps remembering some of these great thinkers will bring us back to that old familiar place again.
There is one president who comes to mind over all the others. The first article sheds a very faint light on his greatness.
I’ve gathered two more posts concerning President’s Day which we have blogged in the past. Maybe some of these articles will help you make plans or jog some new ideas for keeping this date on your secular calendar in America today.
Many will ask that same old question; why waste our time looking back on this day?
I believe it is simply because we have children coming up in the next generations.
They need a new set of heroes.
Truth and history are a very rare combination in our public schools today.
Why not jot down your own thoughts and pass them on to your younger family members? Give them something to ponder. Let them reason your thoughts out for themselves. See if they give you any new angles that you might not have considered in your own current logic.
Find out what our schools are teaching our children about the history and the heroes of our country.
