May of 2023 was a very busy and delightful month. Do you realize how many heroes we celebrate in May each year?
We honor our Mothers. Then we honor the day God sent His Holy Spirit to dwell within the hearts of men. In this celebration we honor the relationship sealed by God with His Church. Next we spend some time honoring the men who gave their lives defending freedom in our country. May is definitely a time for honoring, remembering and celebrating.
All of that happened here in this beautiful first month of summer.
MOTHER’S DAY
We started out by celebrating Mother’s Day.
I hope you got to spend some good quality time with the woman who brought you into the world. If she has moved on to more worthy places, I hope you honored her in some special way.
My family very much enjoyed the day with my own Mom and daughters and granddaughter.
I love excuses to get all of the generations together; especially when the occasion features a celebration of Motherhood. Only God could have made it so magical and amazing. This is a traditional man-made holiday, but it is a very good one that carries out one of the ten commandments that God gave to us.
Our Mother’s Day articles were summarized for our readers. They read like a glossy Mother’s Day Magazine, totally free of charge to all of our subscribers. Each year we build upon this collection of Mother’s Day stories and ideas.

COUNTING UP TO PENTECOST
Our counting of the Omer Meditations began right after Passover, continued through April and May, and lasted right up until that 49th day before Pentecost.
This is an important part of our ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR topics which we like to assemble each year. Forgive us when we get behind on up-dating these; time moves so fast when you are writing in other places. We keep the articles up-to-date, even when we fall behind on the daily postings of this topic. The ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR we follow is the best way we have as Christians to walk closer with God through all of the annual days of our lives.
This calendar we have established directly from our biblical studies helps us remember The Sabbath, The Holy Days, Each New Moon, and the special devotional times of each holy season God established when He created the earth and set us down inside of time.
Also, it helps us to remember our history under God by the reminders of those times when He taught Israel how to become a holy nation. They were meant to be the example for the rest of us. These particular devotions and this calendar can only be found within the pages of this blog.
These articles not from any one denomination’s unique observances, except for some of those from the small group of Christians who participate with us in our quest to remain true to scripture and the history of God on this earth.
These are Christian publications we use and follow annually. Such articles carry themes which are meant to enrich our prayer times and study time. They are not Jewish, but much of the history does evolve from how God used the amazing Jewish people to establish the Christian Church of today.
Many of our observances are similar to those of the Jewish people; but from a Christian perspective. Some churches and denominations observe the same things we do; some do not. That was not our concern in creating the ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR, only that we were following the interpretations of the scriptures that God made plain to us within the seasons that He has taught us to observe.
We feel that each person will have to answer to God for their own actions and decisions.I don’t think there is any certain group of Christians that incorporate ALL of our beliefs yet. Perhaps time will change that because ALL of the practices and observances ARE Christian as far as we are able to discern.
Our ever-evolving annual calendar simply helps us to stay on the same page with God as we observe the Sabbaths, Holy Days and phases of the moon for each month that God grants us life. This unique way of observing God’s calendar is simply another phase of worship for us. Those who continue to observe such times and seasons feel God commanded them to be observed. Our participants know that these set-apart times are still relevant and more important than ever in today’s world.
In May we continued our annual practice of counting the Omer after Passover. We chose to enrich this practice with daily devotions that help us to dwell on the awesome attributes of God. Always trying to look into the face of Our Most Holy God gives us much to aspire to in this life.
These articles below are the devotions that we published in May. Many of us have learned so much from this Omer exercise. We feel certain it deepens and enriches our experiences with God.I won’t go into detail here; but if you wish to know more or refresh your memory of any devotions you read during May – just click into the articles that we published in our SEASONS/ALL MY DAYS topics during April, May and June leading up to the day of Pentecost, which we celebrated this year in May.
Each May devotion of counting the omer is also in summary and an easy click below:
Those were the posts we made during May for counting the Omer. If you wish to review ALL 49 days – look up the newsletter we published in April for the rest of our daily devotions.

MEMORIAL DAY
Yet another seasonal topic we covered in May was the observance of the secular holiday we call Memorial Day.
Memorial Day is a time when we remember the heroes who helped us to maintain our freedom by risking their lives to defend our country.
When you love something enough to die for it; that is a very important thing well worth remembering. Memorial Day is a day for celebrating this type of love.
Of course, the greatest example of One who loved others enough to die for their freedom is Jesus Christ. We often forget this when we come to our Memorial Day celebrations; but perhaps it is the followers of Christ who have come to understand and experience these brave emotions the most.
Join in with the day for honoring such brave and amazing souls with us as we review all of our Memorial Day articles here in one place:
