June was a full month for The IN SEASON Lifestyle community.
It was full of fun events, lots of interesting bible studies and some other relaxing sumertime adventures.
As for the seasons’ main activity; the month was full of events honoring Fathers.
We started the month right by honoring Our Heavenly Father with our first bible study of the month from The Book of Judges. There were four great bible study lessons published in this blog in June.
We will continue our study of The Book of Judges through July. If you aren’t yet following us; please sign up. Each lesson is self-contained and you can look up past lessons for review if you wish. We post these on Thursdays.
JUNE 2023 – COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY
A SUMMARY NEWSLETTER FOR EACH MONTH
Do you realize that we publish a Newsletter reviewing our blog articles each month? If you missed anything you can just review our monthly summary.
The Newsletter/Summary will always be full of each month’s seasonal information, holy days and times articles, bible study lessons, articles about feeding your family, traveling with your family, making your house a home.
It is our pleasure to focus on how we honor God’s natural calender by our ALL MY DAYS topics page and articles. This keeps our life full and focused on the blessing that God has entrusted to us.
We also love publishing our large and small literary works and adventures. When we have new writings by the author of this blog to share with the whole community, we publish this information in our monthly newsletters too.
These types of publications are sporatic and happen in the PEN ART TOPICS. Fall is going to be rich for these topics, so hold on through the summer. They are cooking up now and these publiscation are going to be delightful.
Our fun often includes book reviews by us of other admired arthors’ works. New reviews are in the process constantly. We publish them when we feel the timing is right for our readers to enjoy.
The Newsletters we publish each month are like reading a Christian, faith-based, sacred-time honoring magazine. We republish a lot of our articles from past publications of the blog so you can have the full effect of each seasonal subject we are honoring.
You are reading our summary for June right now.
We published a newsletter for May in the first week of June. It is presented here for your review. Hopefully, our July Newsletter will begin sharing some previews of the new store we are working on for this community. Progress is slow, but excellent. It will be worth the wait.
SEASONS
Of course, we enjoyed a wonderful Father’s Day during this season of summer. Below are some of our articles and a few of the pictures our family shared on that day. The out-of-town kids came home to see Dad the week before actually. They enjoyed a full weekend with my husband. The in-town kids appeared on our door-step Father’s Day afternoon all full of best wishes, thank yous and good cheer. It was a beautiful day.
Actually; it was a great day/week/month for all the Dads around here.
Another of our summer seasonal adventures included tending to the little back porch garden which we set up on our deck behind our house. I suppose since it is so food-related this could also crossover to the topics of our MONDAY NIGHT MENU publications too.
This year is turning out to be much more productive than last year. Each year we add a little more progress to our gardening experiences. In June we published how we first got started in small-time gardening in our backyard. Below is the review article in case you missed it.
There will be follow up articles about this information as time progresses and we learn more of the miracles of growing our own food.
It is hopeful that we will get further down the road with many more adventures of this gardening experience in July. We want to continue the progress by doing some canning and freezing. To take that a bit further, we want to explore and learn a few tips about how to keep our family food supply available, even if grocery stores decide to close. Life these days should include elements of self-sustaining products. That takes the big old worry-monkey right off our backs. Besides that; it is fun and educational. Keep these subjects in mind for some new and upcoming July reads in the future.
MONDAY NIGHT MENUS
Food production is important to our survival. That is one reason we are enjoying the gardening as mentioned above. We tend to think of our MONDAY NIGHT MENUS as being a place to publish favorite recipes and menus for certain seasons and celebrations; but food survival is also becoming of great interest to many of our readers.
Speaking of survival techniques; we are looking carefully at a review of a new cookbook we just ordered. When we have had further time to review this unique new approach to feeding our families, (and after we try some of the new techniques it offers) we willl share that review with you.
These techniques apper to be geared towards the times in which we are living today. They will advise us on how to cut down the trips we make to the grocery store by implementing some new projects in our homes.
Since it is a book review this article will most likely crossover into our PEN ART TOPICS too. Look forward to these coming publications some time towards the end of July, with even more of them spilling over into August.
