It may sound a little odd to be posting smoothie recipes in the middle of a cold winter season; but not really.

We are in the midst of flu season too. The sudden temperature changes and all the virus mutations have a lot of people walking around with fever and colds. This includes sore throat.

It is hard to enjoy a meal when you have a fever and your throat hurts. These smoothies are the answer.

Be sure to freeze some extras and keep them handy for when you are feeling better and just need an easy portable drink to take with you in the car for a quick breakfast on the way to work. You may have to turn on the heater as you go; but these refreshing drinks will get your day off to a healthy start. They will definitely give you a good energy boost with which to tackle your busy day.

If you use the blender I’ve recommended below; all you have to do is detach your smoothie from your blender; place the lid and go!

Keep these recipes handy to re-use this summer too.

You can’t go wrong with a good smoothie.
