SUMMARIZING OUR “EVERYTHING PENTECOST” ARTICLES

This week we are bringing you a summery of all of our articles of the past on the subject of Shavuot. We are calling the publication “Everything Pentecost.”

The dates are from PAST articles, so understand they will not be the latest or accurate dates for this year’s harvest celebration in all situations. You will need to supply the appropriate dates for your own use and understanding.

ABOUT THE DATES

We have updated a few of the old dates for you, in order to eliminate confusion. Just note the publication dates on the articles and count or change to current dates accordingly. We go by God’s calendar, the one He hung in the sky on the fourth day of creation.

Our count for Passover starts on Nissan 14, according to the date God gave Israel for the new year when they entered The Promised Land. So Passover begins on the Hebraic calendar on Nissan 14 at sunset. The next day is the first day of Unleavened Bread, which is considered to be a Sabbath. This is the day the wave sheaf is offered. That is the day the counting of the Omer began. We count 49 days from Passover until Pentecost in the counting of the Omer. The 50th day is Pentecost. By sunset tonight, 2025 we will have arrived on this date.

TIMELESS AND NEVER-CHANGING SUBJECT

This great festival is a timeless subject; so we have included many older articles. Very similar to the never-changing attributes of God; the basic fundamentals of Shavuot never change.

Of course our articles are from a Christian perspective. We believe that followers of Yeshua should be feast-keeping people. This festival celebrates a great gift given by Yeshua to His Bride, the Church. We cannot underestimate its immense and vast importance.

THE CENTER OF THE GOSPEL IS PENTECOST

The whole gospel centers around this feast. It is a vital part of God’s calendar created from the foundation of the world.
