The meaning of Yesod is bonding. Our endurance (Netzach), in order to be effective; requires bonding.
Is there anyone you have bonded with whom you would be willing to endure anything at all in order to preserve that relationship?
This is the type of love that Jesus brought to us.
SPIRITUAL BONDING
Hopefully; that is the way we bond with Christ.
Our bonding with God (combined with endurance) is the most important of any bonding that can exist.
Endurance without the proper bonding cannot endure.
One way to exercise this bonding is to realize that it is an action; not just a thought. You must put this bond into action for its endurance to affect the object of the relationship.
SOME EXAMPLES
In other words; don’t just tell someone that they are your friend; SHOW them that they are your friend by performing an act of kindness to them.
When your husband walks in the door at the end of the day; don’t just say “hello husband;” but greet him with a kiss that is significant to the type of bond that exist between you.
Don’t just look up and acknowledge the presence of your child in the room; reach out and give them a hug, or a smile or some gesture that shows they are special to you and not just another person walking through the room.
When your friend comes over offer them tea; or take a walk where you listen to their concerns.
Bonding requires action.
ESTABLISHING TRUST
Wise men have noted that bonding is the foundation of life.
We all need bonding in order to grow and live abundantly in the process of that growth.
When we make the effort to bond; we establish trust.
For example: Two businessmen meet on the street. What do they usually do? They extend a handshake; this helps to establish a bond of trust as they continue to do business with one another on a regular basis.
DEVELOPING CONFIDENCE
Trust in turn instills confidence.
Without this process of bonding we cannot be nourished. Without the proper nourishment of bonding we do not have the confidence to be all that we are made to be.
When we earnestly pray to God in The Name of Jesus we can often fill the infilling presence of God’s Holy Spirit within our souls. This is our Father in Heaven comforting us; helping us to know that if we are patient and wait on His correct timing; He will answer our prayers in the best possible way.
This is God reaching out to all of us in a very special and intimate way; a way that says each of us are special and unique and that He loves us all just as He created us to be.
With this kind of love; who would not be more confident?
BOND OF GOD TO HIS CREATION
Yesod can be defined as the divine attribute which binds God to His creation in a bond of empathy and love.
It is an everlasting and comforting kind of love. Also; it is an enduring love we can be sure will never end. God’s endurance is the greatest endurance of all.
