TIFERET OF CHESED
Today we come to the Omer Count – Day Three. We have been pondering the different types of Chesed love.
Someone said it this way; “there is love and there is beautiful love.”
Chesed always includes compassion and empathy. In the omer count – day three, we see that this is the part of love that makes it beautiful love. To give love without expecting anything in return is the essence of true love. This is especially true when the person receiving the love is undeserving. If you need help deciding how to go about this, this link may give you a few new ideas. https://successminded.co/ways-to-give-without-expecting-anything-in-return/.
Tiferet is a type of love that gives to those that have hurt them. Working with the discipline of gevurah, it believes in compassion and loving all equally.
The perfect example of tiferet of chesed would be the love of Jesus as He died on the cross for each and every one of us. He loved us and had compassion upon us even when we were sinners and even when we were hateful and hurtful to Him. The story of Ruth and Boaz is a type and shadow of this type of love. Consider the details of what it means to have a Kinsman Redeemer. This is surely chesed love mixed with compassion and empathy. Here is a link to part of that story from a former article we posted: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/do-you-have-a-kinsman-redeemer/.
Can we learn to imitate this aspect of God’s love?
Only through the power of God’s Holy Spirit. With God; all things are possible.
