A little winter poetry by Gail Landgraf.
The sun hugs the horizon on the very first day of winter.
It is preparing for a quick departure.
On the other side of the world,
Summer lingers longer.
Here no leaves are left to carry on their lovely dance.
Their fall party is over.
The globe has begun its stretching exercises.
As the North Pole points toward the North Star,
We slant along the old familiar pathway,
Scattering cool new breezes and even snow.
All the world is grouping through the darker places and spaces,
Always waiting for the Light to come
And make all things new again.
