How can we even begin?

LET’S START WITH AN OCTOBER FEAST

October is about the busiest month of the year so far here at The IN SEASON Lifestyle Community.  We’ve prepared our hearts and prepared a place to have an AMAZING Feast of Tabernacles before God.  What a blessing to be able to do this!

In November’s review I hope to share some of my own family experiences with you.  I would also cherish the ability to tell others about your Feast of Tabernacle/Sukkot experiences too.  If you have a story to tell or a photo to share with the community of your Feast of Tabernacles time this year; please do!  Send them to wordcastlepublications@gmail.com and we will publish your family’s comments and photos along with ours.  It is not necessary to be a part of any organized religious group to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles; offerings are welcomed from anyone, anywhere.  The only requirements are an open heart and the truth of the Gospel.

THE SEASON OF FALL IS NOW IN FULL FORCE

We are enjoying the fact that Fall has truly arrived.  THE HOUSE DOCTOR topics will soon be bringing some new Fall décor to the table.

Have you ever enjoyed A Victorian Fall?  We are studying these ideas now and hope to bring you more information on this scheme/theme soon.

HALLOWEEN?????

Is it correct for a Christian to celebrate Halloween?  We have a series of articles that address this question and we will be publishing them in October.  You may have seen some of them in the past; but it never hurts to review the basic concepts of our faith in relation to the world’s thoughts about the seasons.

In a nutshell; we aren’t to keen on Halloween around here; but when it comes to harvest  time; that is a different story!

We will also feature some lovely harvest festivals that are traditionally held around the South in the Fall.  Some of these fall articles could be put into two of our favorite categories; SEASONS and OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO.

ATTENDINNG TEA AT A SPECIAL B&B AND FINDING A TOWN NAMED TRYON

Another favorite new article for OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO will feature the quaint little town of Tryon, NC.  We lost our hearts there during the Feast of Tabernacles this year and we want to share our experience with you.

Before we had the pleasure of discovering Tryon, NC though; we had a fun tea party at The Columbiana Inn located in Columbiana, Alabama.  An article is forthcoming to proclaim the joys of this time shared at the table that day by three generations of our family.

COME AS A CHILD – OCTOBER

This part of our publication will again be full in October.  These articles are the heart-beat of our blog.  The Thursday bible study is still at work in the book of Deuteronomy.  We can link you to what has been published so far; just click into these: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/forgive-us-our-debts-as-we-forgive-our-debtors/.

We have now come a long way from our study of The Book of Genesis; but the author of the bible study has now compiled the first book that summarizes those studies called THE GOSPEL HIDDEN IN GENESIS (Book 1 of 2) We hope to complete Book 2 of 2 by December 2020.  If you are interesting in ordering Book 1; just click here:

MONDAY NIGHT MENUS – OCTOBER

The focus for October will be on Fall recipes.  They are being gathered and tested out even as I write this post.

AN APPLE A DAY – OCTOBER

This category of the blog often gets ignored; but we hope to begin to resurrect it again this Fall.  The author is on a quest for better health as she travels the road to retirement, and I know many of you are on the same road.  Expect these subjects to pick up toward the end of the year.

COME AS A CHILD

COME AS A CHILD offered these links in September.  We hope you enjoyed each one:  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/dietary-laws-and-feast-days/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/the-cost-of-idolatry-and-false-gods/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/traveling-to-the-place-where-god-puts-his-name/,

SEASONS featured many articles in September because of all the holy days.  We offered articles on the following:

THE FEAST OF TABERNACLES

THE DAY OF ATONEMENT

We blogged about the season of Fall as well as the Holy Days that come to us in the Fall season.  There were also several articles about the time called Elul.

PEN ART

SEPTEMBER featured a series of stories we call The Sukkah Stories in honor of the upcoming times for The Feast of Tabernacles. https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/abrahams-sukkah-from-the-sukkah-stories-series-story-one/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/isaacs-sukkah/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/jacobs-sukah/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/sukkah-of-joseph/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/moses-sukkah/

One day we will publish these five stories along with two more (one for each day of the feast) into one single booklet. I will let you guess who the other two characters will be. This booklet would be very handy to enjoy as a family during the festival. We read it as a family each year. My grandkids will tell you, “even though the stories never change, God shows us something new and different about The Feast of Tabernacles each year that we listen.”

Also in September; we gave you a few fall poems to mull over. Here is our poem: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/a-poem-that-doesnt-rhyme-for-the-first-day-of-fall-pen-art/.

Autumn seems to bring out the poet in each of us. One of my favorite poets of all time is Robert Frost. If you want to find some of his fall-related poetry; I suggest you visit this website: https://www.internal.org/Robert_Frost. We noticed that the poetry he wrote about fall was abundant; more than all the other seasons..

We had hoped to bring you two book reviews this fall; but those are still being drafted. Pray for the writer to be expedient; yet thorough!

PIECES OF THE PUZZLE

The blogging for SEPTEMBER was hoping to feature another historical social justice article about the Native American people; but we didn’t have time to complete this one.

Hopefully; this article will be finished sometime in October and after it we will do a Social Justice Series summary with answers to our original ten questions.

These articles come about very slowly because they are so intense and constant updates are ever evolving.  Society is changing so fast. Many of the books we feature in our “PRODUCTS” section of the blog have related to deeper explanations of social justice issues and how a Christian should relate to them in our current culture.

One clue to all the answers definitely lies in the need for better education based on true facts, however, the answers have many layers.

So let’s go bravely on into another beautiful October for 2020.

GOD BLESS YOU EVERY ONE!!!
