It seems like yesterday we were writing our Newsletter for February!

Already we are in the time slot for reviewing our March articles and planning a preview of our April articles.

How does time fly by so fast?

THINKING ABOUT APRIL FIRST

April has sprung into the land and it is the time for so many new things to happen.

Let’s rejoice in the fact that God has provided so much goodness for us in this time of this Spring.

We are now living in the month of Nisan.  It is the beginning of the sacred year for the Hebraic thinkers here at The IN SEASON Lifestyle blog.

I’m so excited about April’s activities that I want to reverse the order of this newsletter.

Usually, we do the review of the past first; then the preview of the things that are coming up.  However; this month we are going to do the preview of April first; then look back at our March articles.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN APRIL

So much!

Don’t you love how busy, fun and beautiful the blessings of spring are?

You never know what is around the corner in the spring. Some days are all sunshine; but some days you find your flowers blooming in the snow.

This April will be full of surprises around every corner.

A NEW SACRED YEAR WILL BEGIN

We will bring you an article that speaks about the Hebraic month of Nisan and how it is the beginning month of the Hebraic year. We are entering 5782 on the Hebraic calendar. This is a Sabbatical year. It is a time to stop all the clanging noises of life and tune in to what God is telling you for the future.

What are you hearing about this new year as you pray? I am hearing that this will be a year of crossing bridges. I have no idea what that is going to mean to me by this time next year; but let the fun begin!

A SABBATH YEAR (SHEMITA) WILL BEGIN

The way this lovely dancer is moving gracefully into that open door is the way we want to step into this new Sabbath Year. It is the 7th Sabbath (Shimita) year of 7 Sabbath cycles of 7 years each. We have entered the last year before beginning a 50 year Jubilee (from the date of the Yom Kippur War when Israel became an official nation again by reclaiming the land that belonged to them.) 7 years x 7 = 49 years. Next year will be the 50th!

This lovely dancer has to be trusting the steps which have been mapped out for her by her chorographer. If not; she will fall and she will never make her way through the open door that leads to her next dance.

God is going to be our chorographer through this next Sabbath Year; whether we have prepared or not; now is the time to stop and let Him guide us. It is a time of listening for the proper notes and dancing to the rhythm of the right music.

April will speak of these things for sure.

If you want to study ahead; read Leviticus 25:3-14. Also; verse 25 is very interesting as we note the times in which we live: “Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety. And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety. And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase: Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

Every day in the news I’m hearing of war and violence and food shortages that are coming; but when I read God’s word I see there is this scripture that pertains to the ones who listen and are obedient to God’s voice during this time period. Please, dear God; let it be us!

There will be more musings about this season and time in the
April articles.

PASSOVER OBSERVANCE

April 15th at sundown begins the first Passover Seder and the Spring Holy Days last for seven more days.

We will have several articles relating to the significance of Passover and what it means to all Christians today; even those with Hebraic hearts.

UNLEAVENED BREAD

We will be sharing many articles and features for the Seven Days of Unleavened Bread, including how to clean and prepare for these days as well as unleavened recipe ideas.

EARLY FIRST FRUITS

April will bring a very important article about Christ being the Early First Fruits, or the first to rise from the dead in God’s Kingdom.

This is the day we celebrate Resurrection!

It isn’t always on a Sunday; but it is always three days after Passover during the Days of Unleavened Bread.

CELEBRATING THE HOLY DAYS WITH GREEN THIS YEAR

Remember our Glorious Green Christmas?

Well; we have decided that these glorious greens will be just beautiful with our golds as we celebrate Passover and God’s Spring Holy Days.

We are even considering painting a few major doorways a sage-green color.

The greens have taken over!

Take a peek into our house to see how it all turned out for the Passover Season.

NEW BOOK REVIEWS ARE COMING

I’m not sure how we have found the time to read; but you know we can’t seem NOT to read. It is like breathing here.

This month we want to share our thoughts on Dr. Candice Smithyman’s book called Angels of Fire.

Our second book review is a very conservative-thinking book called Red Handed by Peter Schweizer.

PEN ART IS FEATURING A NEW SHORT STORY

Speaking of writers; the author of this blog has written a fictional short-story where the main character is living out one of the great reset’s goals for the future.

Our main character has achieved one of the agenda goals they have for the future. She owns nothing and is happy. Forget about your project list for awhile and slip into this fictional setting. Turn the pages and see if you think she is REALLY happy. The story will be featured in PEN ART in May. We will finish writing it in April.

Also; the author of this blog still has two books for sale on the subject of Genesis at Amazon.com. (The Gospel Hidden in Genesis Books One and Two.)

She is anticipating publishing her new book called EXODUS TO FREEDOM soon.

This book is a summary of the biblical book of Exodus study we have done in the COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY; but there are additional comments. The new book will be very relevant to many of the world events that are happening today. You don’t want to miss it. We will keep you posted.

We are also going to feature some crafts for spring in the Pen Art topics for April.

OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO THIS SPRING

Some places are just more special in the springtime.

See where we chose to travel to during the month of April. You may get traveling fever too.

Spring is a great time to take a trip.

THE ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR IS FULL OF APRIL EVENTS

The busy days in April are filling up the All My Days Calendar with relevant articles to match many of the calendar dates.

We cover all of the elements of Passover, including Unleavened Bread, Early First Fruits and we even feature an article about the significance of the month of Nisan.

Don’t miss these very important articles which will appear in the order of their calendar dates. Just keep checking the chronological order of our ALL MY DAYS page.

COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY WILL WRAP UP THE BOOK OF DEUTERONOMY

Most of our remaining lessons from our weekly study of Deuteronomy will cover the rest of the blessings that Moses left to the tribes of Israel before his death.

We will say a painful “goodbye” to Moses and move on to the book of Joshua.

GROW OLD WITH ME IS THINKING ABOUT RETIREMENT AGAIN

Did you enjoy last February’s article for people pondering retirement?

We have a second article on that subject coming up in April.

Watch for it.

The title says it all.

Our Passover recipes are tried and true; and the Unleavened Bread recipes have been tested for many years now. We love sharing them with you as we go through this time together.

PIECES OF THE PUZZLE IS THINKING ABOUT HOW TO PRAY

How should we be praying in these obviously end-time days?

Do you find yourself overwhelmed with the state of the world?

There is a frame of mind that God wants us to be using during these days. We can use it to improve our prayer life; if we are aware. There are some tips on this subject coming in April.
