The IN SEASON Newsletter for January 2022 is now hot off the press!
January went by like the blink of an eye. Every day was full of unexpected happenings, events and surprises. It was a month of meditating, fasting, repenting, praying, giving, anticipating joy and celebrating what comes to us during a year that has been called by many: The Year of Double Portions.
ENTERING THE YEAR OF DOUBLE PORTIONS
How odd to have received that proclamation amidst the latest news and world events. Again as always, life is proving the fact that God works in mysterious ways. February will be even more so.
This Newsletter brings you a review of what we shared with The IN SEASON Lifestyle Community in January 2022, as well as a preview of the things to come in February.
If you missed any articles don’t worry; we are providing you the links right here.
OUR GIFT TO YOU EACH MONTH
As you will see; the monthly Newsletter turns out to be a lot like a monthly Christian magazine with a Hebraic slant that incudes other “every-day-life” articles.
It is our gift for you every month.
If you desire, you can have the once a month Newsletters sent directly to your e-mail so that you can read and share in a more leisurely way on your own schedule. Just let us know you wish to receive it in the subscription comments at the very top of each article we post.
We love new Newsletter subscribers!
A REVIEW OF JANUARY 2022
Sometimes reading a blog can be a lot like operating the remote control to the television.
I often look at my remote control at home and say “what on earth do all of these symbols mean to me?”
If you are interested in being specific with reading blog articles it is important to know the symbols for finding things.
When you click into the blog by searching theinseasonlifestyle.com; you will be immediately directed to our Home page. The first thing you see will be a subscribe button that you can use if you want to receive regular blog posts.
Right under that button you will see a small symbol that consists of three lines stacked on top of each other. Next to those three lines is the word “MENU.” If you click on this section of the blog you will be taken to our MENU. The MENU (just above the photo of the birdhouse in the green pasture) will direct you to anywhere you wish to go.
FOLLOW OUR MENU TO YOUR NEW DESTINATION
The first place you see on the list is “HOME.” If you click on the word HOME you will find our home page. The HOME PAGE displays all of our articles over time in chronological order; newest to oldest.
The next word on the list is ABOUT. If you click on the word ABOUT it will take you to our ABOUT page which has an article where I explain what this blog is all about. This page explains each of our TOPICS and why we post them. There is also a place where you can sign up for this monthly Newsletter that recaps the blogposts we send out each month and previews what is coming next.
FINDING THE ARCHIVES
If you keep scrolling through to the very bottom of this page you will see a place that is titled “ARCHIVES.” Use the ARCHIVES button to find ANY post we have ever posted; past, present and future. They are listed by date and month, then title.
LOCATING THE TOPICS
Topics are separated into different categories. TOPICS are the actual links to those different individual TOPICS. To find them go back up to the MENU symbol right under the SUBSCRIBE BUTTON and click MENU first, then TOPICS. You will then see where to click on sections that show ONLY those particular TOPICS and no other articles outside of that category.
This can save you time if you are searching for something under a specific subject.
BIBLE STUDY-HOLY DAYS-THEOLOGICAL DISCUSSIONS
You can find bible study lessons presented each Thursday under COME AS A CHILD. These are weekly walks through the bible one word/page at a time. We are currently at the end of Deuteronomy and moving quickly toward Joshua.
There are seasonal articles (with much emphasis on holy days and feast days) under the topic of SEASONS. You will find regular holiday articles here too.
PIECES OF THE PUZZLE contains articles that explain difficult theological issues and deep subjects regarding our times and culture and God’s plans for mankind.
RECIPES-GROWING OLD-STAYING HEALTHY
MONDAY NIGHT MENUS are articles with suggested menus and recipes, usually for the current season, holidays, holy days and events we are currently living through.
GROW OLD WITH ME TOPICS usually include articles that those of us over 65 would enjoy. If you are younger you can simply skip these by using the TOPICS tabs for the other articles that would be of more interest to your own age group.
AN APPLE A DAY TOPICS include articles with suggestions for staying healthy. There are lots of articles about how to keep our physical bodies in tuned with, and as a residing place for God’s Holy Spirit.
ART AND CULTURE-HOMEKEEPING-FAMILY TRAVEL
PEN ART TOPICS include articles that are either a form of creative writing, some short stories, artwork from various artist and communities, articles about music, etc. These articles are basically about any form or kind of art we choose to display, but we lean mostly toward poetry and literary arts.
THE HOUSE DOCTOR is simply our way of expressing the desire that houses should be homes. We feel it is up to us to make our surroundings as pleasant and inspiring as possible. Lots of decorating thoughts and ideas appear here, mostly relating to the changing of the seasons. These articles are more about finding the heart of your home and living there than decorating; but it all starts with basic décor.
OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO are articles for Christian families who desire to travel. Most places described are located in the Southern States of America, and lots of the articles are about how the author loves visiting with local communities and home-town folks.
We believe every little town in America has something to offer to the world.
However, we are open to other types of travel articles such as world travel with a purpose. Travel with a purpose or travel for educational reasons are especially interesting. We will entertain guest bloggers here if they so desire.
LOCATING OUR OTHER PAGES
Above are all the things we cover under TOPICS, but we have other pages that cover different subjects too.
KEEPING GOD’S CALENDAR – STORE- NEWSLETTER
The ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR as well as our COMMUNITY STORE can be found under their own separate pages.
Just look on the menu list and click on those subjects. You will be taken to the proper pages.
Hopefully; you will now have the knowledge to navigate our blog for any useful purpose in the future. Enjoy!
On with our review of January:
COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY LESSONS
In the COME AS A CHILD THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY we are walking through the bible together. Our movement is word-by-word and page-by-page.
The whole idea is to come with the heart of a child seeking to know their Father better.
We are exploring the bible as if we have never heard or read it before. These particular posts happen every Thursday.
This month we have continued our path through Deuteronomy. Links to all of the January (every Thursday) on-line lessons are here for your review: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/fighting-complacency/,

SEASONS
God created seasons for us to go through time in. He has blessed us differently in each one. No one appreciates these amazing seasons more than we do here at The IN SEASON Lifestyle Community. Our theme of 2 Timothy 4:2 explains our purpose: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.
It is our desire to live each season upside down and inside out; like Jesus and His disciples did.
Every season of life is very unique. We love to celebrate them all.
In this topic called Seasons, we like to explore anything that is seasonal – whether it is a holy day or a whole season of holy days, a holiday on the civil calendar, or a seasonal phase of the Christian lifestyle.
Below are links to the seasons we shared with one another in January. They include the changing of the civil calendar year, Epiphany, Martin Luther King Jr. Day and discussion on the various months and times in the Hebraic calendar for this season, including thoughts on the Christian celebration of Tu Bishvat.

PIECES OF THE PUZZLE
Pieces of the Puzzle topics like to explore the hard things. Maybe these are some things that not everyone wants to talk about. Perhaps these are things no one else is speaking out loud. We want to focus on God’s will here, and try to get the proper perspective of how certain things tie in with certain seasons of life for all of mankind.
I suppose you could say that the Pieces of The Puzzle topics are exploring the deeper truths in life and seeking understanding along the way.
These are the things that crossed our minds in January of 2022:

MONDAY NIGHT MENUS
Do you enjoy cooking for your family?
Are you looking for simple every-day menus that work?
We’ve tried to put something for everyone who loves the culinary arts here in the topics of MONDAY NIGHT MENUS.
One of our favorite food topics evolves around food for the seven annual Feasts of God. Also; we love making party plans for regular holidays. The every-day, much easier aspects of families trying to eat in a quick, budget-friendly way are also explored. It is our intention to try to stick to the current season and explore the food and festival events of each month.

PEN ART
Art is one of the wonderous parts of living.
Some of us use the talents and gifts from God by expressing ourselves in different art forms.
The IN SEASON Lifestyle has a deep appreciation for such activities. We like to share any type or form of art.
Our favorite is the art of the written word, but we are open to all types of artful expressions. The January posts of 2022 expressed art through creative writing and poetry. Below are those links:

THE HOUSE DOCTOR
The House Doctor is a doctor that turns a house into a home. You live where you live almost fifty percent of your lifetime; so why not make it uniquely yours in every way?
Here are some January 2022 articles that expressed times of transitions in our own home. We welcome guest bloggers to send in their own ideas to share in theses topics.

OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO
Oh The Places We Should Go topics are mostly about family travel ideas.
We like places that all of the rest of the world might not have noticed.
Small towns and unique little villages are a favorite subject too.
If a town celebrates seasons in a godly way, or if they are special for holy times; we want to explore those towns.
January 2022 included a fun outing for children, as well as a historical walk through the places of the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Here are the links:

THE ALL MY DAYS HEBRAIC CALENDER
It is The IN SEASON Lifestyle’s desire to live and walk in holiness.
One way we have enjoyed trying to do this is through keeping the times of God’s Holy Days.
Sabbath is truly important to us.
We love the Hebraic thoughts of the calendar days and often meditate on the times and seasons that keep leading us through God’s annual calendar. Here are some of our ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR posts from January 2022:

Most of the profits made from blogging goes toward the software upkeep it takes to produce the blog. Please consider supporting us by buying your products directly from the blog. It helps us to be able to provide you with this free magazine each month.
We do offer articles from time to time on seasonal products that we have created as well as books that we have published. Thank you all so much for buying our products and supporting our own literary efforts.
