For Omer Count – Day 37 we examine Gevurah of Yesod; or our discipline of our bonding.

We cannot allow doubt about who we are to affect our bonding with others. When this happens we are thinking solely of ourselves instead of the welfare of those that surround us. We must allow integrity to be part of our decisions for our actions.

MOVING FORWARD IN STRENGTH

Strength is not eliminating doubt; it is living with it and still moving forward.

Facing any form of self-doubt and becoming determined to change it reinforces our determination to continue in the purposes that God has designed for our lives. Drawing the strength of Gevurah helps us to bond with others in a healthy way as we continue believing in the purpose that God has given to us.

THE ASPECT OF INTEGRITY

We can think of Yesod as integrity. It is like the bottom of a brick tower in that it needs to be strong and balanced.

Gevurah represents strength, discipline and boundary setting. This helps us to stand strong for the things that we know are right. It helps us to step up and to be who we really are despite what others say or do.

When we are in doubt we should ask ourselves how our integrity can help us to stand strong for the values that we believe in. Whenever we encounter self-doubt we should be asking what this means to our own truth.

QUESTIONS FOR OMER COUNT – DAY 37

How do these doubts stack up against my core values?

Would it be helpful for me to set more limits for myself?

Would setting boundaries for others help to eliminate some of my own self-doubt?

Do these boundaries help to increase my integrity or decrease my integrity?

THE EXAMPLE OF JOSEPH

You can measure the integrity of your Yesod by your awareness of how your actions affect the people around you.

A good example of this is to look at the life of Joseph. He never considered how his actions would affect him personally; but he always thought of how his actions would affect those that he cared for or respected.

Yet; none of his actions blocked his God-given mission in life. What is true to our destiny and purpose from God always proves true for those around us.
