Oh my goodness!

Here we are almost to the middle of December and I haven’t reviewed November 2022 and previewed December 2022 in a Newsletter yet.

Time is moving way too fast.

We’ve been busy here!

How about you?

Therefore; I guess you have already taken a BIG glimpse into the December articles, even without a preview. I hope you are liking them. We still have a few tricks up our sleeve – so I will preview them all anyway. There are more to come.

Was your Thanksgiving good?

Our home was full of love and gratitude. Here are a few of my favorite moments:

A REVIEW OF NOVEMBER 2022 ARTICLES

As for reviewing November – where on earth to I start?

I suppose with the great responses we have been getting to the every-Thursday bible study we post called COME AS A CHILD. We’ve been studying The Book of Joshua. In November of 2022 we had the following lessons:

WRATH OR MERCY?

SEASONS

Of course our SEASONS Topics stole the show in November. They always do in the Fall when Thanksgiving comes to call.

We shared some new Thanksgiving articles. Also; we pulled up some older articles from our archives. Thanksgiving articles are ageless you know! We can use them again and again and still get more out of them the next time.

It was fun sharing our gratitude and thanks with our readers last month. Many of these articles from the SEASONS topics served dually as titles for THE HOUSE DOCTOR and MONDAY NIGHT MENUS and THE ALL MY DAYS CALENDAR.

After all; we ARE The IN SEASON Lifestyle blog! The whole month of November was taken up with seasonal activities and bible study.

This isn’t a bad mix you know?

We hope you enjoyed each and every one and that the review here will serve to remind you of things for next year.

It is never too early to start planning for the next season of the year.

SEASONS

December will resemble November in that we have so many seasonal articles to share. Christmas and Hanukkah, thoughts on the Hebraic calendar and early thoughts of the civil new year celebrations. We don’t put a lot of weight in the civil calendar changing here; but we love to celebrate the Hebraic New Year in the Fall. We may have an article or two on the difference and the subject of New Years; it depends on our time frame.

I suspect the main topic will be Christmas.

What could be better?

We have some deep thoughts about the Christmas season and what it means to Christians today. There are also some articles on decorating for this lovely season and cooking our favorite feast foods for this time of the year.

Again; the SEASONS topics will bleed over into THE HOUSE DOCTOR topics and MONDAY NIGHTMENU Topics.

There will be a wonderful Hannukah devotional for you to click into for all eight days of Hanukkah.

COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY

We will still be studying The Book of Joshua in the COME AS A CHILD bible study topics for December.

Come join in with us and give us your thoughts. God speaks to all of us in different ways and it is fun to share these discussions. We now have 138 people following this study.

This month ends the battles for entering The Promised Land; but Joshua has the heavy task of distributing and securing the inheritance of the people of each tribe. There are a lot of interesting things about how and why this was done. God’s ways are always higher than our ways and often our human minds fail to comprehend the whole picture for the long-haul. We may point out a few of these instances and several other interesting things about how the people of Israel begin to settle into the land of their rightful inheritance. It will be the culmination of a long-term plan of God’s in which He has been very patient and enduring with millions and millions of people. The ending is also a new beginning.

So come and join in with us and see the adventures that Israel will wander into next. Their history foretells so much of our future and helps us to understand how to live through so many circumstances in this modern world.

OTHER SURPRISES ARE PLANNED IF TIME ALLOWS

We have so many surprises up our sleeves; if only time will allow us to get them published. Keep watching and stay with us. Whatever we can’t get in print during the holidays will simply overflow into the new year.

God has plans and we are listening!

Rarely do we do specific articles in our PIECES OF THE PUZZLE topics, unless they are theological and biblical in nature. We like to save that column for the deeper, harder topics of the current times. However; there is one topic out there that is very disturbing to this author. If time allows there will be a new PIECES OF THE PUZZLE article to cover the subject of artificial intelligence and where it is leading us in society today. There may be more in the latest developments of that topic than we want to discuss here; but keep us in your prayers and we will see where God leads our thoughts.

Thank you so much for being such a great community. We are so thankful for the readers that are following along with us each month.
