The IN SEASON Lifestyle Newsletter for March 2018

GOODBYE MARCH

March went by us like a furious whirlwind; leaving one amazing event after another; then April followed right on March’s heals with the same lightning speed.

Life, life and more life whizzed right on by; leaving a million memories and sweet little tale-tell signs behind.

I’m still catching my breath from all the wonderful; hence this end of March Newsletter finally comes along in the first week of April!

THE SPRING HOLY DAYS WERE THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH OF MARCH

We ended March by celebrating the LORD’s Passover.

I hope you were as blessed by God’s mercy and grace as we were as we gathered for the Spring Holy Days with our little family.

Passover night was so sweet and amazing.

I loved seeing our little grands ask very sincere and pointed questions as the Passover story unfolded.

We toned down the formalities a bit for the sake of the younger ones; and it was very well received.

The child’s Seder plate that I ordered was cherished by our three amazing grandchildren.

As we watched them learning God’s stories, the adults got a refreshing review that included a lot of reflective moments because of their very inquisitive questions.

God has been so good to us and we give Him all of the praise. Our Passover service incorporated the portrayal of Jesus as the Lamb of God as well as the deliverance of the Israelites from the bondage of Pharaoh.  After Pop (that’s what the grands call him) led us through a short, informal Seder, we enjoyed watching the story of Passover in the movie called The Prince of Egypt.  I’m still humming the songs that have stayed inside my heart and spirit all season.

The original plan had been to have our meal and watch the movie out under the stars in our back yard; but the weather turned out to be a bit too cold.  It didn’t matter one bit; God touched us yet another year with the wonderful story of Redemption and Deliverance.

THE HOUSE DOCTOR

This year the house was all pretty and dressed in yellow for the Spring Holy Days.

If you missed that article in THE HOUSE DOCTOR column you may review it here: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/loving-spring-yellows/.   Don’t you love how we decorated the IN SEASON Family Tree with beautiful yellow spring flowers?

MONDAY NIGHT MENUS

Our Passover meal turned out delicious. A good night full of fine fellowship was shared by all.  We went home anticipating all of the next Holy Day events which would start out in the month of April.  This included Early First Fruits (Symbolic of Christ’s Resurrection) https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/seasons-celebrating-early-first-fruits-during-passover-week-in-gods-spring-holy-days/ and The Seven Days of Unleavened Bread https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/seasons-why-do-we-keep-the-seven-days-of-unleavened-bread/ .  Our April posts already have articles about these holy days for you to enjoy as well as some articles about counting the omer from Passover to Pentecost.

Getting back to March topics though; if you want to see what we served for our Passover meal; just click here: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/preparing-for-passover-seder/ I thought it all turned out well.  We also shared a good Passover craft:  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/passover-to-pentecost-crafts/.

OTHER MARCH HOLIDAYS

Before we came into the Spring Holy Days we enjoyed the St. Patrick’s Day holiday.  If you missed our article; you can review it here:  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/how-will-you-celebrate-st-patricks-day/

Passover menus were not the only recipes shared in MONDAY NIGHT MENUS.  For St. Patrick’s Day festivities we cooked up some good corned beef and cabbage and shared with our readers.  You might want to check that out here:  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/corned-beef-and-cabbage-my-favorite-recipe/

COME AS A CHILD

The Thursday bible study called COME AS A CHILD had four more teaching from Leviticus.  In Exodus we studied how the Wilderness Tabernacle was constructed; in Leviticus we are revealing what took place in those sacred spaces.  All of those articles can be reviewed right here:  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/holy-fire-burnt-altar/  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/restitution-salvation/ https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/living-guilt-free-lives/  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/unintentional-sin/

Could a month have been more full of blessings?

HELLO APRIL!

Since we spent so much time with holidays and holy days in March; we didn’t travel very much.  Be watching the OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO column for some more novel travel ideas in April.

We were so busy with the Passover Story that we didn’t spend much time telling any other stories; but you can count on the PEN ART section throwing a few book and movie reviews in April; as well as some Springtime poetry.

You might also enjoy the gardening articles we want to share; and we will be bringing some new spring salad recipes your way too.

AN APPLE A DAY is going to bring you some more interesting articles about taking good care of your health.  If you missed our article in March about eliminating the clutter in our lives, which was specifically geared toward the coming days of Unleavened Bread – check it out here:  https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/cleaning-for-unleavened-bread/  These same cleaning tips are good all year!

THANK YOU FOR BEING A BIG PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The IN SEASON Lifestyle is catching on.  I’m amazed at the people who are joining in with carefully considering our 2 Timothy 4:2  motto! I’m just loving the way they are all beginning to consciously live “inside out and upside down;” just as Jesus and the disciples did when they walked this earth.  Modern-day disciples are springing up like flowers everywhere we go this Spring season; and God does seem to be helping all of us to find one another here at this blog site.

Please continue to send your feedback, comments and suggestions.  We love to receive them.  We are working on making the blog more user friendly to our readers; so that we can all interact and get to know one another better.  I hope you will share the articles on all social media sites and pass them along to your friends.  Please send any e-mails requesting our monthly Newsletter to wordcastlepublications@gmail.com.  You can also find an opt-in for our mailing list on many of the pages of our blog articles.

We are ever grateful for your help, support and participation here.

Wishing you a beautiful, happy and worshipful April!
