THREE TREES FOR JUNE’S FAMILY TREES

Have you been waiting for the June Family Tree? 

There are several very special occasions coming up in June,  We want to honor any and all of them with a family tree designed specifically for that special occasion.

FATHER’S DAY

Our favorite for the month is THE FATHER’S DAY TREE.  We will be posting our “Everything Father’s Day” articles soon. So; be watching for them.

In the meantime; you can start with a Family Tree idea that honors your family’s fathers.  This tree is full of red, white and blue stars that are just waiting on you to fill their centers with your favorite photos of all the Dads in you family.

PENTECOST

Of course; we celebrated Pentecost in late May; this year.  The story of the season continues until the next holy day arrives.  Pentecost is a very special Holy Day.  It is a whole season of time to remember all of God’s gifts to the Church. 

We employed some crafty ideas to make this year’s tree a teaching tree.  Please continue to make use of this tree for the whole season.  Display the  white doves with the fruit of God’s Spirit written on their fan-folded wings.  Talk about them all through the month of June. Continue to teach your little ones about Pentecost through the summer months when there are no other holy days to distract. 

Keep Pentecost fresh on their minds.

This will be so much fun for all ages actually.

FLAG DAY

The month of June also brings us to Flag Day. 

We love honoring the flag of our country here at The IN SEASON Lifestyle.  It occurred to us that we could put small little flags all over our tree.  Instead we opted to put them under the tree inside some cute little mason jars.  

They look very stately. 

Putting the flags under the tree seems to symbolize our prayers for God to protect the fruit from those who have found the tree of life (salvation in Jesus Christ.)  That tree has always been the blessing of America.  We have been through treacherous times lately. Yet; we must continue to pray that God will use the fruit of his people to bring His ways into our country and bless it.

If you have time why not try them all?

Whatever tree grabs you and helps your family to communicate about important family values; just remember to enjoy your family time together this summer.   Be sure to plan lots of simple family gatherings that will have all ages laughing, sharing,  talking and loving each other. 

It is all about giving thanks to God and loving each other as we love God.  

With so many blessing in abundance; what more could we ask for to kick off our summer?
