WELCOME JULY of 2019

We haven’t forgotten the July Newsletter; but with the 4th celebrations and summer vacation it slipped up on us this time!

July promises to be full of celebration! We’ve already started here and summer is now in full swing.

Here is just a small taste of what we have lined up for the month of July so far.  There will also be many new surprises as the month unfolds.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

The July fun has already arrived here at The IN SEASON Lifestyle Community!

You know we started out the new month with a big Independence Day Celebration!

A big part of the whole IN SEASON Lifestyle Community is based upon the wonderful concepts of freedom, liberty and independence.  We believe this is required in order to have a life well-lived under God.

Our focus has specifically been to cherish the freedom of religion; but there is hardly a better way to explore the whole wonderful  concept of liberty than showing pride and support for our great country; The United States of America.

This is just what we do here on Independence Day.  Jesus gives us freedom from sin and offers us eternal life.  Our free country allows us the right to proclaim that fact freely and to share its abundance with others.

We love the privilege and opportunity to celebrate this occasion, and this month we have already published a blog article full of July 4th celebration ideas.

All through the year though, you will catch us exploring more articles about the concepts of freedom as well as some more practical articles about how to celebrate this great occasion in lots of fun and exciting different ways.

Our family’s celebration this year was so much fun.   From some of our experiences in July; we will share how we celebrated more in our July/August Newsletter at the end of the month.  Also, we will share a new review of yet another unique small town of the south.  We picked a small town that seems to be just perfect for celebrating Independence Day.  They know how to make it happen!  Be looking for that article later in July under our OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO topics of this blog.

We have already also shared a fun teaching tree for Independence Day with our readers.  Don’t you love these easy, yet very teachable ideas?  Just click here to find out about our July tree:  JULY 2019 FAMILY TREE For The IN SEASON Lifestyle

If you missed our main Independence Day article for this year you can review it here:  INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS OF 2019.

CELEBRATING SUMMER

In July there are no major religious feast days or holy days to celebrate.  We have only one national holiday, which is the celebration on Independence day.

This isn’t a bad thing at all.

It gives us the opportunity to celebrate more of all the things we love about summer.

We will share some of our best summer vacation ideas in our OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO topics in July.

Do you have your summer vacation plans made yet?

There will be some great summer recipes in the MONDAY NIGHT MENUS topics for this month.  We are developing the art of making deep dish pizzas; and we will share a few new ice creams and salads too.  You can’t get enough of those in the hot summertime.  The easier the menu; the better it is to relax and enjoy some rest.

With more July time to relax and enjoy the simple every-day pleasures of life; we will give some new book reviews in the PEN ART topics, and possibly some poetry too.  Summer is a perfect time to catch up on all of that reading you have left sitting on the shelf all year.

Have you made out your summer reading list yet?

There are two books that should definitely top your list; and we are sharing their reviews in July.  Guess which books top our list?  Keep reading to find out.

CELEBRATING THE STUDY OF GOD’S WORD

Some very interesting topics have come up in our recent journey through the Book of Numbers.  This same study pattern will continue every Thursday in our COME AS A CHILD bible study topics.

If you haven’t joined us yet; you are missing some great biblical adventures.  It is definitely not your typical bible study.  During July we will explore the vow of a Nazarite.  Did Jesus take this vow?  We will discuss the pros and cons of this thought.

SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS

Summer is always full of traditional and laid-back celebrations.  We are going to look into more of those during our July survey of the casual events of summer.

You can look forward to good vacation ideas, new looks for your summer home, good recipes for those hot summer days, and some good ideas for outdoor and family entertaining.

And yes; there will be a new IN SEASON Family tree theme.

For Independence Day we have another “teaching tree” for after the 4th of July celebrations.

We are also going to go with a new type of teaching tree again during late summer – one that involves the beach.  Keep reading and checking our July pages.  Of course; our community store will be full of great new suggestions that you will love.

REMEMBERING JUNE of 2019

The IN Season Lifestyle loved sharing our June adventures with you during 2019.

What a busy month June was!

On a more personal note; the writer/publisher of this blog saw some amazing and surprising family celebrations, including an awesome Father’s Day event.

We hope your Father’s Day turned out to be wonderful.  As hoped; we DID receive some very good Father’s Day poetry from some of our readers, even though we did not hold a new poetry contest this year.

The poems a few people sent in are currently being held for our next  year’s Father’s Day articles; at which time we hope to add even more to the stack and publish a whole new set of Father’s Day poetry from our very own readers.

If you submitted already; thank you and please be patient with us.  We love getting your poetry!

Still on a personal note; this month included a visit from a dear Aunt from California.  We love it when she comes all the way over and down to the the South!

To add to this family fun; two very close family members enjoyed big and well-deserved career promotions.

Of course; we celebrated big!

So very proud of our hard-working family!

OUR  IMMEDIATE FAMILY HAS MORE BIG NEWS!

The MOST exciting personal news of June for this blogger was the news that our next grandson will be a boy!

We’ve been holding out on our announcements until our kids got all of their’s done.  Now that their own announcements are all tucked away; we think we will scream it from the rooftops.  “IT’S A BOY!”

This soon-coming new little boy doesn’t have a name yet (that we know of) but he is going to arrive next December like one of the biggest Christmas presents we have ever received!

I guess there will soon be yet another leaf on the family tree for this particular part of the family!  Here is a photo of them adding our last grandchild’s leaf; and this one that was being added then is looking forward to putting his little brother up there next winter.

We are going to be celebrating this news for awhile; so you will just have to bear with us and put up with us.  There are probably no prouder grandparents in the land!

Now the number of our grandchildren will be equal to the number of our grown children, but not to mean to imply that each one of them has a child yet; only two of them and one of the two is starting the next chapter.

Does the fact that we are reaching four mean anything?

I’m not sure.

At least two of our grown children seem to be heeding the message to “be fruitful and multiply.”  (Big smiley face.)

Our grand-guys rule!

And so does our grand-girl; who graduated from kindergarten during this past June!

We can’t celebrate all of this good news without including The IN SEASON Community with all of our fun.  We think of our readers as an extension of our family, especially in a spiritual way.

It is always great fun for us to hear of your family adventures of the summer too!

Don’t be shy.

Send us photos and stories and poems to share with the group!

Please always remember to send us anything you wish to share with the other members of the blog.  We would love to make you a focus of one of our newsletters.  Our address for these community shares is wordcastlepublications@gmail.com.

PENTECOST CELEBRATIONS

Did you all enjoy your Pentecost celebrations?

So far we have given you our ideas of celebrating Pentecost in a vineyard; then in the park.  I wonder what we will be doing next year?  You will just have to keep reading to find out.

Here are a few photos of our family celebration this year.  We planned a picnic in the park; but it rained – so we quickly changed our plans and did all of the same things in the house.  Not a problem at all.

The 12 fruit salad was beautiful and delicious!  .  We loved using the teaching tree and we enjoyed sharing the story of the first Pentecost.  There was a birthday cake for the church which the kids ate after they blew out the firey tongues of fire on the candles.

We hope you enjoyed sharing some of our recipes and ideas.

Anchor with seasons

STAY WITH US FOR SUMMER FUN ALL THROUGH THE SEASON

By the way; did you catch our beach house article about anchors?  This is the first of a series of beach house décor that we will be sharing with you this summer.

What tree will we reveal for July 2019?

Keep watching.

In the meantime; you may wish to check out our former trees using the flag for your Independence Day celebrations coming up.

July Teaching Tree

What is our wish for you as we leave June and approach the celebrations and lazy summer days of July?

A SUMMER OF LOVING LIFE

That you rest and play and LIVE this summer.

Keep the Sabbaths, celebrate God’s Holiness, and LIVE out your life as a joyful and peaceful witness to the blessings of God.

Thanks so much for letting our little community join in with you and your family in all of the seasons and celebrations of life.  We treasure your presence in this ever-growing and developing community of believers.

May your summer be filled with blessings and peace.
