JULY SAID GOODBYE

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS AND ARTICLES

It is late for this Newsletter; but so much happened from July to August this year!

July left us in a blink.

We are already beginning to think of the fact that summer is fleeting.

There was so much fun in July though, and it started with the celebration of Independence Day for America.

Did you celebrate your great freedom in July?

We can never take that “independence” for granted.

In spite of what many leaders have said over the past few years, our nation was founded on Godly principals with the concept and idea of freedom for all as our goal.

It feels urgent at this point in history that those of us who still believe in these concepts do our best to pass them on to the next generations.

What happens during the next few years is crucial and critical to maintaining this type of patriotism and our abilities to keep our nation Godly instead of pagan.

With that in mind; we celebrated this year’s Independence Day full blast!

Did you catch our Independence Day articles?

If not; they can be found here: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/independence-day-celebrations-of-2019/

JULY 2019 FAMILY TREE For The IN SEASON Lifestyle

https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/blue-ridge-georgia-for-independence-day/

We hope you enjoyed having such a variety of articles on the past month’s subjects as we journeyed through the busy month of July.

SUMMER BIBLE STUDIES FROM THE BOOK OF NUMBERS

July also kept us busy going through the Book of Numbers in our COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY which is held on the blog every Thursday.

Did you catch our articles on The Arronic Benediction?

We hope you found them interesting and full of helpful information.

If you missed any of the July bible lessons; you may review them here:

SUMMER FOODS ABOUND IN JULY

We wanted to share ice cream and salads with you in July because those are foods that don’t keep you laboring over a hot oven in the summer heat. Also; we think these recipes are just delicious and always try to bring them out in the summer months for some new table toppers and tasting fun.

If you missed any of these MONDAY NIGHT MENU suggestions; you can review them here:

FUN DECORATING WITH A BEACH THEME

THE HOUSE DOCTOR section of the blog enjoyed bringing you a little seasonal decorating fun for the month of July.  The beach cottage look is one of our favorite themes and we posted two new articles this month that go into more detail about all the thoughts behind using anchors and boats in this type of summer decorating theme.

If you missed any of these articles; you can find them here for review:

Who knew decor could be so inspirational?

We love sharing that part of making a house a home.

RH The Memory House

BOOK REVIEWS FROM THE PEN ART TOPIC

You know we have had some awesome summer reading this year. Top of our list was The Memory House by Rachel Hauck. If you missed our July book review; you can catch it here:

PRODUCTS WERE MOSTLY PATRIOTIC IN JULY

The IN SEASON Lifestyle July Family tree turned out great!

It is a good teaching tree.  As you decorate with it you can teach the little ones about the history of our country and how to say the Pledge of Allegiance to our country’s flag.

This practice seems to have been sorely rejected in many areas for much too long. Let’s bring back some patriotism and teach them with the fun family tree for July. Here is a review of our article; why not go ahead and order for next year right now?

We had some interesting products at the IN SEASON Community Store in July also!  Just click right here to check them out:

august

AUGUST HAS BEGUN!

So what fun lurks around the corner for the month of August?

FOOD FUN WITH PIZZA

We’ve been experiencing a journey toward making the best deep-dish pizzas this summer. We will be sharing our favorite deep dish recipe and some tips for making it soon. Keep reading in our MONDAY NIGHT MENU TOPICS to see this article.

SURVIVING HEART SURGERY

We have a new article that will be featured in the GROW OLD WITH ME column as well as our AN APPLE A DAY column (the column topic where we store all of our health column topics.)

This section is going to be full of advice from a layman’s perspective on how to survive and thrive after dealing with heart by-pass surgery.  The author of the blog just went through this with her husband; so it will be a little up-close and personal. We are proud to report that he is doing fine!  Our granddaughter says card games help after surgery!

So many of us wind up in these circumstances just about the same time we want to be planning a fun and care-free retirement.  It can still happen; and we hope this article can calm your fears and help you get in touch with the fact that you CAN move on from heart surgery.

There may be a few humorous “hospital” visit articles thrown in just for fun too.  It is much better to laugh and move past these things.  Sure beats crying and complaining!   You may relate to some of our funny hospital experiences.

ELUL IS COMING

Have you grasped the concept of observing the seasonal time called Elul on God’s Hebraic calendar?

We observe this special time each year from a Christian perspective.  Each year this seasonal observance turns out to be so fulfilling and spiritually renewing for us.

Look forward to the details of this season in August. We will post these articles (there are many) in the SEASONS topics of the blog.

Elul definitely helps us to get our hearts ready.  It brings us into focus for the Fall Holy Days that are just around the corner.

bookreviews

MORE BOOK REVIEWS

Our PEN ART column is busy working on two book reviews that will hopefully be published in August.

The first is DO IT SCARED by Ruth Soukup. This is an amazing book that should probably be required reading for everyone trying to live up to their potential goals in life. Look forward to hearing more about it in the coming days.

We’ve also reviewed the very controversial book by Jonathan Cohn called The Paradigm. What an amazing discovery this book presents. We will be filling you in on our opinion in the days to some; so keep reading our PEN ART column to see when it is complete.

THE LAST OF SUMMER VACATIONS

The OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO column of this bog is full of great summer vacation ideas; we will combine several of our favorites into one handy review to give you some last-minute ideas for that one last summer vacation before school time gets serious.

backtoschool

BACK TO SCHOOL

Children all across the nation are getting back to the school schedule. Some of them started as early as the first week of August and a few lucky children have until September to get prepared. We’ve got some great Back-To-School articles, ideas and suggestions; so keep looking for them all through the month of August.

AUGUST PRODUCTS

The products of August are in the works for our The IN SEASON Lifestyle August Community Store.

We will have some back-to-school items you will love, some end of summer decor, some new ideas for an August Family Tree with a fun family activity, plus some great reading suggestions to help you get ready for Elul and to pair with our Numbers on-going bible studies in August.

The plan is still in the works for implementing new features to the blog that will allow you to buy our Genesis Bible Study Summary soon. It is slow progress; but it is coming as soon as possible. We will keep you posted as progress moves forward.

The IN SEASON Lifestyle even has a fun free-journal that you will love.  Be watching to see where we go with this one!

Also; we want to give away a few IN SEASON Lifestyle coffee cups and t-shirts in August.  Keep paying attention to our posts and we will tell you how to be a winner.

THE BOOK OF NUMBERS BIBLE STUDY CONTINUES

Our COME AS A CHILD Thursday on-line bible study will continue in The Book of Numbers throughout August. Be looking for some very interesting twists and turns on this journey. God is really showing up and taking us on some amazing adventures.

We are building on former study lessons; and there will be several referenced reviews that we have included from an older blog.

REMEMBER TO LIVE IN SEASON

Let’s just keep living life inside out and upside down like Jesus showed the disciples.  Encourage one another to keep living out our community goal of 2 Timothy 4:2 during the rest of this summer.

God will surely bless you and keep you!

Until next month,
