Today we reach Omer Count – Day 20. We have discussed already how tiferet blesses yesod with balance and humility. It cultivates the foundations of our lives.

BLESSINGS IN CHAOS

Yet; despite this balance and humility; we all know some measure of chaos from time-to-time. I think of Joseph and how God blessed him with dreams and vision for the future. https://dancinginseason.blogspot.com/2015_11_18_archive.html.

Joseph did not immediately benefit from these blessings. Often he suffered at the hands of his brothers. Others took advantage of his good nature. His intentions were often questioned. He spent time in prison, before becoming Viceroy to Pharaoh because of his wisdom and discernment.

We studied Joseph in past posts. Here are a few links if you wish to review: https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/scorching-heat-and-draught/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/god-master-weaver/, https://theinseasonlifestyle.com/come-as-a-child-lesson-104-israel-blesses-joseph-ephraim-and-manasseh/, https://dancinginseason.blogspot.com/2015/10/come-as-child-lesson-90-joseph-is.html,https://dancinginseason.blogspot.com/2015_11_05_archive.html.

There are many more “Joseph” posts in the older BlogSpot posts I made years ago. Hopefully, my blogging has improved during the last 15 years, and a few of those lessons got edited when I published them in THE GOSPEL HIDDEN IN GENESIS, BOOKS 1 AND 2. That book, also a great source for any Joseph story (Book 2 especially,) would also be resourceful. You can purchase these books from Amazon.com.

THE BOND WITH GOD MUST BE SOLID

Joseph was bonded in his humble relationship with God. He realized that all of his power and abundance of blessings came from that source.

It wasn’t his power; but it was God’s power that elevated his life to higher planes.

Tiferet helps us to stay bonded to our true foundation and identity during such chaotic events and happenings.

KNOWING YOUR SOURCE

Joseph, though living in Egypt, never forgot that He was a child of God. He clung to his faith and the Hebraic forms of worship through all of the ups and downs, successes and failures. He was bonded to God and God’s ways with his whole heart.

True compassion always requires such bonding. it must have a proper channel between the giver and the receiver.

Joseph enjoyed this connection from God. He was also able to pass on the benefits of such a connection with the forgiving of the sins of his brothers.

REQUIRMENTS OF PURITY AND HOLINESS

Joseph showed true and pure compassion by loving his brother’s no matter what. His forgiveness came from pure love; not pity or sympathy.

We have to ask ourselves to examine our own compassion when we are in similar positions in our own lives.

Does our compassion come from true love or is it a result of sympathy or pity?

AN ON-GOING PROCESS

Joseph had to exercise his capacity for pure love over and over again all through the days of his life.

He knew that Yesod was not a one-time event; but an on-going process that sometimes extends all the way to eternity.

These attributes of Tiferet and Yesod serve one another. Working together they nourish true growth in both our physical and spiritual lives.

POURING HOLINESS INTO THE ORDINARY

Yesod is necessary when we want to pour holiness into the ordinary. Joseph practiced this way of life every day that he lived.

This lifestyle can never be achieved in humanity without the Presence of a Divine Connection with God. When Yesod is exercised, a higher connection is always possible; but it requires both trusting and the feeling of being trusted to truly achieve its goals.
