NEED A GOOD DEVOTIONAL BOOK?
This next book (actually two books) is written by Gail Landgraf (the person who publishes The IN SEASON Lifestyle blog. )
It’s pages detail the writer’s experience of an on-line bible study through the Book of Genesis.
We are calling it a “devotional” book because it is one of those books that needs to be read a chapter at a time, then put down to let it all sink in; then picked back up again.
The reading is easy and written in conversational style from a Hebraic slant and with the heart of a child seeking to know her Father better. In Book One you will make it all the way through the life of Abraham and Sarah and begin to move on to the life of Isaac.
Book Two starts with the beautiful love story of Rebekah and Isaac. the generations of Abraham and Sarah , Isaac and Rebekah, and Jacob and Rachel continue through Book Two.
The second book covers the amazing stories around the life of Joseph and you live with Jacob right through his family’s surprising move to Egypt.
Eventually you will come to know the stories surrounding all of Jacob/Israel’s twelve sons. Book Two closes with the blessings that Israel passed on to each of his sons. The author guides you through all the reasons that each son came to receive the words they received from their Patriarchic and Father.
Both books comprise a complete and detailed study through the whole book of Genesis. You will feel like you have gone back in time.
