If you read the JULY TO AUGUST Newsletter; you know that August threw us a curve ball. The IN SEASON Lifestyle’s editor/publisher’s husband had triple by-pass heart surgery.
We want to personally thank everyone who prayed us through this unexpected turn of events; and we are very thankful to God that he is now healing and recovering very well.
That is all that really matters at this point. If you have read this blog at all you will understand that family is first priority in our daily lifestyle here; right after God, so when things happen with family and loved ones; we make the needed adjustments. This editor/writer/publisher deliberately took several days and sporadic hours off from blogging to tend to the home fires; and she is very thankful that she had that option.
Don’t be a bit surprised though; if she met with a story or two along the way that will eventually come out in the blog. You never know!
That being said, however; the number of posts and blogging events we had planned for August and September suffered in the interim.
Fall is one of the busiest and happiest times of the year for this blog. The July Newsletter spoke of many fall plans that just were not able to materialize. We simply accept that they were not in God’s plan for the month and we pick up the pieces and move on.
THE WONDERFUL THINGS OF FALL
We love the Fall Holy Days here and we typically enjoy the whole season of Fall to the utmost. There is so much for us to talk about each and every Fall Season; yet much was left unsaid or unfinished in this immediate month.
No worries!
We will simply make up for lost time this next month.
Fall isn’t confined to just one tiny little space, there is still ample time for us to get it all in.
INTRODUCING THE – EXPLORING THE SEASON OF ELUL 2019 WORKBOOK
One project in particular was the making of a workbook on the subject of Elul, which will still be offered free of charge to all of our mailing-list subscribers.
We are excited about this beautiful publication which we have called EXPLORING THE SEASON OF ELUL 2019. It is our plan to make this an annual publication with updates each year that guide you through the beautiful season of Elul. Each article is beautifully written into an Elul Calendar with questions for you to ponder and pray about at the end of each day. The illustrations are lovely and there are sections for you to stop and journal your thoughts and paste in any notes or memories to keep from this year.
Look for information on how to order your copy sometime soon after the receipt of this Newsletter.
You will find that this workbook/calendar/journal/memory-keeper is full of thought provoking meditations and seasonal lessons about the purposes and significance of the fall time called Elul.
Each day of the calendar has its own special focus. The workbook has turned out beautifully so far (Over 225 digital PDF pages); but we are not quite finished with it.
We realize that our stalling for time has made the timing slightly out of order; but we hope to be sending this free digital download as a gift to all of our subscribers anyway. MOST of the days are still happening.
For those who do not subscribe to our monthly mailing list; but want to obtain a copy; it will hopefully be offered for sale in our products section.
THE COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY IS STILL ON TRACK
Thankfully; we DID get a few articles out during the month of August, including new updates to our COME AS A CHILD BIBLE STUDY. We hope you caught them; but if not, just click on the COME AS A CHILD topic in our menu. All lessons should be contained there in order of occurrence.
ELUL ARTICLES IN THE BLOG
Many new and review articles on the subject of Elul were also published during August and September inside the blog for our regular readers. If you missed them; just click on the SEASONS topic of the main menu at the head of the blog and you should find all that was recently published in date order.
HELLO SEPTEMBER
In the OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD GO topic of our September menu we published a fun travel activity for Labor Day. BACK TO SCHOOL THOUGHTS
We didn’t forget all of you Moms out there that are struggling to get those children back in school during the months of August and September. Of course, Elul continues on through most of September and then we run into THE TEN DAYS OF AWE and THE FEAST OF TRUMPETS near the month’s end.
We will be providing lots of upcoming articles to cover these occasions during the current holy season. The IN SEASON Lifestyle is all about getting ready for THE FALL HOLY DAYS on God’s sacred calendar. THE POETRY OF FALL
Fall is just getting wound up good in September and we will be sharing some of our favorite fall poems soon.

New poetry and articles keep coming this fall. We will be sharing those that we love with our readers.
We also hope to catch up on some of those book reviews that we promised in August but didn’t get to deliver. One clue is that both of these books turned out to be amazing! Keep checking in September for several more book reviews from the PEN ART column topics.

As for September products; we want to get at least a tiny bit ahead of the game and present a few products that we think you will find useful during Sukkot/The Feast of Tabernacles.

We have some great new teaching ideas for The IN SEASON Lifestyle Family Tree; as well as some wonderful little short stories that your family will love sharing inside your sukkah.
To continue in the same lovely tradition of the Workbook/Calendar/Journal/Devotional/Memory-Keeper that we offered for the season of Elul; we also want to create a new workbook for The Ten Days of Awe as well as The Feast of Trumpets.
Be watching for these digital downloads that we will offer. They will be FREE to all of our subscribers; but they will soon be on sale for anyone interested that is not a regular subscriber.
